Battery Angle Grinder, is what I used! You might find the screws have rusted into place, I just cut around the mounts, and ground the head off the crank sensor as I remember it being a Torx. We're less that 2 weeks away from the due date for our first.

I run the set up in the diagram (It was me that posted it originally) for quite a while, with no problems. I later fitted one of the Beta test rev limiter and modified it to power the coil pack from the MJ unit. But still the earths are wired as shown, the actual connection is a ring terminal betwee...

I fitted my trigger wheel in the same way, well apart from Liquid nitrogen as a coolant. They also machined on a slight taper to the crank pulley and trigger wheel (you can't see it by eye), this means that when fitted you would need it to expand to come loose. Knew I had seen that type of setup before somewhere.

So the 2nd diagram is correct. Here's a photo of the assembly

So its sensor/bracket/plate
The sensor can be spaced backwards with a washer if needed.

I would say that's miles too far away.

I set mine with a feeler gauge at 1/64 of an inch approx 0.5mm

Can it be mounted the otherside of the bracket ?

There is no cover, just drilled the face of the gauge and mounted behind.
