The problem didn't disappear after I installed a new MAP-sensor. So I guess the IC that is connected gets fried due to the extra current drawn by the Bluetooth module.

Quite likely. Take out the multimeter and see what kind of resistance it measures when you do the same thing.

After a second test drive I opened up the EDIS-connector as much as possible and pushed down the connector pins as far as I could. Probably this little did the trick because after that timing was fine again.

Another test drive gave an interesting result. Everything was normal and then all of a sudden there came a rpm spike to over 15000 (!) rpm, resulting in the soft rev limiter putting advance to 0 degrees. During the first run it happened several times in fast sequence, the next time.after a stop and ...

After receiving the new battery to my laptop I was able to make a testdrive an follow what was happening on the screen. At first everything was normal but after some driving and warming up of the engine all of a sudden hell broke loose again. Steady load but advance jojoing between 0 and ca 40 degre...

Can't write PIP-filter level

Under the Global Controller Options I can enter a value in the EDIS PIP filter level box but I can neither store nor write it. Neither the ''Write Options'' nor the ''OK'' button trigger the ''Write Ignition Configuration'' nor the ''Commit Configuration to flash'' buttons. I never had the PIP filte...

I may have misinterpreted the way you described the setup. The vacuum down the manifold will be fine as long as the suction is even. From what you wrote I got the idea that the vacuum point would be near one cylinder and then you get suction pulses. The suction should be even. Does each carb supply ...

That way you get a very uneven vacuum. You need to pick a place where the underpressure is more even. Do the carbs have a point under the butterflies you can tap into? You need a point that is not blanked off when the butterflies er in the idle position.

You say you rewired the vr-sensor, does that mean that you also opened the Edis connector? Are all the connector pins in place and pushed down enough? It doesn't take much to miss connection; guess how I found out....

I started working on my double DCNF manifold quite recently after having laid abandoned for many years. Last summer I bought a small mill (bovenfrees) for wood milling, but it can also do aluminium. I am working on getting the mating surface for the rear carb ready for welding. Years ago I bought a ...

Hi Glenn,

It is under ''Assembly'', the Kit Assembly Guide: https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/MJLJ_V4_ ... mbly_guide.

Impressive performance of the engine. What carb do you use now, do I remember correctly it is a Weber 36 DCNF?

Hi Glenn,

You can find the values in the Kit Assembly Guide. Or you can do it much easier and contact the guy one post below from the Netherlands who wants to do the reverse from what you want to do and propose a swap  .

You'll be pulling less than 60kPa at higher revs under normal driving conditions so you will need bins at lower pressure. Hook up your pc and take the car tot a spin, then you'll find out quickly enough what your lowest bin value should be. Maybe the TPS version should fit your setup better.

When you have a TPS version you can never get a reading in kPa; if you do you are running in the wrong modus. Quite possible you get a reading of 100% load, which might be because you don't have a TPS sensor hooked up.
