Sharing Maps

Hi, i have a map for a 306gti6 engine, standard apart from a pair of 45s.

I would like to be able to share this if needed. just like to know how to 'get' the map?

Also, my Megajolt ECU has a serial port, can i upgrade this to a USB safely without damaging my ECU/map?

Many thanks

Right, thanks for the replies, i have ran the tests, all components seam fine, but upon cranking i saw a blue flash, dug the wires out and found a power and tacho wire shorting on the underside of the battery tray! Wooo hooo!, gotta be it! Spent this evening digging out all wires, double checking an...

EDIS testing

Thanks Brent, i presume the tests for the coil are between coil live (feed) and battery/body ground for primaries. Do you measure the secondaries between the coil H/T output and battery ground?

Thanks for the info.

I have tried 2 of the Maplins, and two other makes, all had a prolific chipset, and none worked. I have been told a differant chipset (FTDP or something?!) may work, but dont ask me what this all means, if its not nuts and bolts, i find it quite hard to fathom!! In the end i got so p*ssed off with a...

quick one about connection.

Hi, just a quick one, i guess that when the MJLJ is correctly connected to the configurator (laptop) that my map should apear on the screen? Or do i have to click on the 'GET CONFIGURATION' button?
Many thanks.

Take a look on Amazon, LOADS cheaper than where i bought my first converter (which i suspect doesnt work!)
They many about £3.80 delivered, Maplins want £20!!
