There are a few solutions to do this with varying risk Ideally take it to a rolling road where someone experienced with your setup can give you a good map and exploit the potential of your setup in a safe enviroment. Slightly less risky is to obtain a map from someone with a very similar spec to you...

Sounds to me like the megajolt is receiving the PIP signal from the EDIS but the SAW signal is not getting from the megajolt to the EDIS.

Investigating the SAW signal iswould be the start for me.

Hope this helps

USb to serial adaptor which will work

After playing around a lot in the arduino community I have come across this little piece of kit. http://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/MiniUSB I am pretty sure this would ease a lot of those suffering with issues with there usb to serial adaptors. The only issue is that it would not be easy to incorporate t...

Having got a bit dirty with a MK1 Golf tacho a while ago I found that the chip that drives it was a PWM chip (can't remember the identification code on it). It basically worked by the circuitry counting the number of ignition pulses it received and outputting a PWM signal. The PWM signal then drove ...

That certainly is food for thought and one fairly simple to diagnose by disconnecting the alternator.

Try using pin 11 of the EDIS unit. This is a Clean Tach Output (CTO) of the EDIS and should not give you any problems.

There is no programmable hysteresis within the megajolt unit itself I'm afraid. You would be better off utilizing a standard fan control switch as can be found on most modern car radiators. These do have their own built in hysteresis and would be perfectly capable to do the job.

I had this a bit and found to have 2 faults. Firstly the mis-firing got worse and worse which happened to be the coil pack. Also my head gasket had gone (between cylinders 2 & 3 on a mini) and a valve seat had cracked, bugger (which i still haven't repaired). If you can get hold of a compression...

Brent was talking imperial and you are thinking metric, that is where the confusion lies with the I'D. If you put in a restriction like the ID diameter of a welding tip into the vacuum/boost hose you should have the minimum amount of exposure of fuel/air mixture possible inside the car should the wo...
