PLAN C NOT RQUIRED!!! so after doing the tests discussed earlier i thought to my self i'l try it one more time. so plugged in the laptop and first attempt it caliberated! so problem solved?? its working any way. still no idea why it wouldnt work but now it does? nothin has been changed? dean, if i have to i will... but i dont want to! anyway good news! now i have the correct pin 11 i have voltage at pin 11 and it increases as the throttle opens to about 4.1v. good news i'm guessing??

ok so i had the wrong pin 11, counted 3 down instead of 3 up! but i do have conectivity between R3 north and R4 north as well as the thro hole to pin 11. i'l check for voltage again tomorrow to the correct pin 11 this time. is all is well what will be the problem??

just checked and there is NO conectivity between the two. gettin somewhere now!

ok then as suggested i get 5v accross R3 no problem, but at pin-11 i get nothing (220/230mV) so any ideas??? next test? thanks guys

thanks for that martin, i'l get back to you on a bit later about that. as for the tps..... i have 5 volts coming from my mj unit, and i have 5v going back when bridged. however when i bridge it back to the mj the load guage does not move. i checked the scaled values and there are no entries at prese...

so after a lot of messing around, i found that my mj unit had not had the tps part soldered up correctly, this has now been rectified but guess what? tps still will not caliberate! can anybody think of anything? its the only thing left to sort now. please help lol

the unit was bought secondhand but unsed, ive now soldered these so we'l see if it lets me calberate the tps tommorrow!

ok so im having problems setting up my tps, checked every thing over and the problem points to the mj unit. so i removed the board and found that the series of resistors in the tps area are only soldered on one conection. after looking at this... http://www.autosportlabs.net/Image:Mjlj_v4_tps_compon...
