Yeah, ive had a bit of a measure. According to mr fluke the setup draws about 2amps maximum (higher revs) so a 10amp fuse should more than cover it. Not really sure why it blow in that case? Brent? As you say, the fuse is really mainly covering the wiring, as it would blow far to slow to save any el...

The bloke who i bought my megajolt from had had it as a spare as he raced. However he just had it, with his map on it, in a box in the paddock. - I imagine he had a spare coil pack, edis unit, cps and tps too. BUt the most sensable thing to do to me would just to have a spare, rather than a second t...

Hard Cut Rev limiter Success

I recently bought a MJLT v4 with hard cut rev limiter of ebay (someone elses spare, unused, but not new) and am pleased to report it worked a treat. Wired it up and it all worked totally fine first time. Only thing i am aware of is that as the coil feed now comes throught the megajolt and hardcut bo...

Fuses

Theres very little reference to fuses or what rating fuse to use. - Obviously the coil pack actaully does somthing real (make sparks) so draws real power. Although im not sure how much. - While the megajolt and edis are just boxes of electronics having fun. So dont really need very much at all. Like...

Limp Home Mode (fixed advance, with megajolt disconnected)

Am i right in taking, with the edis/coilpack/vrsensor i can get my engine running on 10deg fixed advance 'limp home mode' before adding the Megajolt and messing about with ignition maps and the throtal possition sensor?

Just seems a good half way point to test the loom/edis/coil setup.

The advantage of the triggerwheels one is that it can be mounted either way around, to suit the throttle spindle rotation - the one I had was one-sided, but fortunately it was the right side! :D Ah, valid point! Most feature a blind hole as you say. - Are they internally spring loaded then, so as n...

Ford VR Crankshaft Sensor polarity

Lots of reference to making sure you get the polarity right, or to swaping it if its wrong (no spark) but not found a reference to which pin is +ve and which -ve? So which is the negative (pin 5 on the edis plug) pin one or two of the 2 ford sensors in this photo? http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/...

Yeah, i see most are 4-5mm.
- Although i could prberbly borrow the use of a scope, it would be a lot of work to machine the pulley and test for it no to work.
- If someone else comes along that has done the job i will proberbly give it a go, else its a £10 triggerwheel bolted on the front.

How wide does the 36-1 wheel need to be?

I currently have a pressed crankshaft pulley. The outer flange is far taller than the inner or where the belt sits and i was wondering how feasable it would be to machine a 36-1 wheen into this flange to run the ford vr sensor on to drive the edis unit? - However the material is only around 2mm thic...

Sounds good to me.
- I will also be making an attachment method, although clearly the simpler the part i have to make is the better.
