Ok, the yellow 'dots' are the resistor track, notably the one that connects to the standoff and then to the capacitor. The green 'dots' are what I assume is the capacitor. To do this mod, I'm guessing that I'd desolder the capacitor, but make sure the tracks it taps into are still solid, so the circ...

Of course they made it different for the NA market, sigh. The chip is the same, but the board is different. The components appear similar, but not enough for me to just start chopping :(. Any ideas? http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/vv218/Broke4speed/IMG_5798.jpg http://i685.photobucket.com/albums/...

I'll be digging out my spare cluster! :D Thanks Mr.PIXIE! I should have an update shortly. For non-electrical-luddite clarification: use a jumper/link where the resistor goes, and remove the capacitor completely? Does a link need to go there as well? I'm presuming by 'link', a small piece of wire or...

That would be fabulous. I've tried the diodes/flyback circuit thing, but just can't get it to go :(. I've been relying on my hard-cut limiter to tell me when I've hit the redline, and it isn't always convenient, lol. I've still got access to the Pin 11 on my EDIS unit, as well as the coils and tach ...

We're definitely on the same page, I love automatic transmissions. I'm a drag racer, from my very first days into 'cars'. I remember watching the guys with the autos do so well, and never break anything...and even if they did, it would be up and running again in no time flat. This was the first box ...

Video time! It's 5 min long, the mic in my GoPro is dead, so it's tough to hear anything but squawks and rattles, but shows the shifts nicely. Most of the video is me going around the block, so you can see how hard 2nd hits at low speeds. At the 3:40 mark, I give it a bit of WOT (carbs are not tuned...

No video yet, too dark when I get home :(. The drive around the block went flawlessly though, the 1-2 shift is hard as nails, very cool. The 2-3 shift is a bit softer, but the gears are closer together in size. It's instantaneous though, I love it :D. I can hopefully get a video tomorrow, I'm off wo...

Nice, I had looked into GSF before, but I wasn't sure they could still get what I was after. I'll have to dig out my smallblock stuff again :D. Thanks dude! Minor update: The car fired up last night (that's never an issue, thank you MJLJr ;) ), I tentatively shifted into 1st from P...and it engaged ...
