I have exactly the same problem, mini with a MGB rev counter.
Some where on the forum theres a suggestion to remove one of the resistors on the tacho conditioning board. Just not got around to trying it yet.

Thats your problem, it won't work on anything less than 12volts.

Wouldn't expect those to work anyway, look at the float bowl. This needs to be level.

1. Seem to remember it does mention somewhere on the site, a 5amp fuse is used for the megajolt. Anyway thats what I've got on mine. 2. The vacuum advance take off will be suitable, as long as it provides it isn't covered/wrong side of the throttle plate at idle. A common problem on later carb equip...

Have you got resister plugs in ? Can see the BP but can't make out whether there the R after that, also open the plug gaps upto 1mm. I run BPR7ES's in mine with a similar spec engine.

I started with the 'MiniSPi2-MD286.mjlj' (it's quite a soft map) and went from there, adjusting it to suit your engine. Ideally with a wideband AFR gauge connected.

Yes the instructions are somewhere in here, you can get all the bits needed in the autosport labs shop. Not sure about leaving them in place, but I know you can't use both.

Charge the battery up, megajolt won't play unless it has the full 12 volts.
