i am having a similar problem, a few months ago i plugged it into my home computer directly into the port and it worked ok. since fitting the hard rev limiter i can not connect to my computer to adjust the rev limiter. the light is on the megajolt and it seems to be running fine.

thanks i tried that and it started and definitely revs more just trying to connect it to my computer keep getting timeout reading cylinder count and i am not using the usb cable. all the com ports are set correctly.

anyone know what to connect my coil wire to? the rev limit pin or coil pin on ecu? do i have to cut the rev limit trace for the v3 ecu of it that just for the v4? need to have this ready for my first race at the weekend and so far its not looking good.

right i have the all wires soldered from the rev limiter to the ecu board do i just run a wire from the rev limiter pin to the middle wire on coil pack now?

i have megajolt fitted to my engine with the standard rev limit set to 7200rpm. when i take off in first gear it hits the limit fine but when u go into second and the engine is under pressure it feels like the limiter is a lot lower. is there anything i can do or check? i do plan to get the hard rev...

i tried that and set it to com2 then went out to the car and plugged the usb adapter in and it said usb malfunction. i couldn't get it to work so i tried a usb adapter i got off ebay a few months ago and i got it working at last

i followed your instructions and got the driver installed but have problems connecting to the ecu. it just says could not open port. i will try and upload a video tomorrow of what it is doing.

i bought a usb adapter from the autosport labs shop, when i plug it in and try to install the driver with the cd in it keeps saying, windows was not able to install your usb2.0-serial.

i have a dell studio laptop with windows vista

ya i checked in the device manager and it said com5 so i set it to com5 in megajolt and it still wouldnt work.

i think i will need to find a better usb cable, when i open up the megajolt programe it says "could not open port" so when i plug in my usb cable and install the driver then open up the megajolt programe it says "timeout cylinder count" the message is the same even when the other...

ok i found out i got a faulty cable so i exchanged it for a new one now it works,

when i connect to the ecu it says something like "runtime no cylinder count" down at the bottom of the srceen?
