Troubleshooting - No Spark
Hello all. I've got an MJLJ (v4) running in my Mini. Or at least, it was, for about 18 months. This week, it's decided not to work anymore. It's running an EDIS (obviously!) and a standard Motorcraft Ford 4 cylinder coil pack. And a Ford VR sensor. When it died, I thought it'd run out of fuel. That'...

Ok - figured out my problem. My problem is that I used the Fahrenheit scale. I used it in order to avoid using negative numbers. Thankfully, after checking everything, my lowest Celsius number is 1. The Auxiliary Input Table won't accept values higher than 255. This is the reason why my last 5 value...

Auxiliary Voltage Tables
Hello all. Got a quick question with regards to the Voltage Tables for the Auxiliary Input. I'm using my Auxiliary Input to monitor coolant temp, I've gone and measured the temp of the head at the thermostat to get a few points, then interpolated and extrapolated them to get the following series of ...

Update - vehicle's running. :) Running beautifully. 8) I did manage to mix up six of the wires total in the installation - obviously PIP and SAW, plus the VR wires, and then I mixed up EDIS 10 and 12 at the coilpack. None of the wiring colours matched what I had. No drama, no damage done, all runnin...

Ok, problem solved. Both PIP/SAW and the VR Wires were crossed. So, my description of PIP is that it gives off an output that will light an LED test light (+12V), whilst SAW won't light an LED test light. Regardless of polarity. The VR wires are only giving off about +1.5V (DC) on the choke (about 1...

Tacho, Revs, PIP and SAW
Hello all. I've a Mini in which I'm trying to install an MJLJ v4. I've wired everything up, but haven't yet switched from the dissy and coil to the coilpack. I'm still, effectively, testing. It's only been about a month. I've managed to get the MJLJ communicating with my laptop. I can read MA...

That all sounds pretty cool Spockie. I've got a Mini (Aussie delivered, so definitely pre-96/OBD/OBD II - didn't notice I hadn't listed my location before) with a kit half installed (trigger wheel and hall effect sensor installed, no electrics installed/connected yet - car's' still running a dissy),...
