Nice, you beat me to it!
I haven't even started on mine yet...long story but the car I'm putting all of this on has been a complete disaster, requiring all-new engine management and ignition systems before even breaking the new engine in.

Running Race Capture in Wine?
I used to run the Race Analyzer program in Wine, once I made a link from ~/.wine/dosdevices/com1 to /dev/ttyACM0 it worked fine. The Race Capture app just shows "Could not detect RaceCapture/Pro" at the top of the window. It seems that V2 expects it to show up on COM10~COM25, so I made ano...

Nice, that could let my RCP communicate with the MS2x that's going in my car.brentp wrote:Hi, the CAN bus interface we are releasing soon (firmware being developed now) would be ideal for integrating with sensor expanders.

Firmware feature: Flip digital input
Normally on a digital input, ungrounded is 1 and grounded is 0. I'd like a setting that would allow me to invert the input so that ungrounded is 0 and grounded is 1.
Of course it's not purely a firmware change since support would have to be added in RaceAnalyzer to configure it

A linear distance sensor on the rack would work fine, it's just that linear distance sensors are very expensive. I'd say the optical distance sensor is still the best way to do it, but I've had an idea to use a BMW suspension travel sensor (looks kind of like a big RC servo) attached to the rack...t...
