Re: Raspberry Pi 2.2.1 app freezes
Maybe "freezes" isn't the best word. Could be unresponsive, or even slow. I've noticed a few times when trying to edit the autoX start/finish GPS positions that the app becomes unresponsive, and then comes back after a few minutes. No, I don't believe I'm the only one. A short search in the rc-app-v...

Re: Raspberry Pi 2.2.1 app freezes
Is the log file the racecapture.log and racecapture.log_last under /home/pi ?
If so, attached are the log files.

Re: Raspberry Pi 2.2.1 app freezes
Where is the application log file saved? If I SSH into the Raspberry Pi, where do I find this file? Seems to be two different kinds of freezing going on. 1. dashboard freezes in the middle of driving. This happens intermittently at various intervals. 2. app freezes when entering Setup -> Race Tracks...

Raspberry Pi 2.2.1 app freezes
The Raspberry Pi 2.2.1 app rather frequently freezes when in dashboard mode. The dashboard stops updating until I exit the app which reboots it. This is using the latest Raspberry Pi 2.2.1 app, with Raspberry Pi 4 and official touchscreen, hard wired to the RC Track Mk 2 which is running latest 2.18...

Lua script crashes through Raspberry Pi app
Not sure if this should go in the Lua script forum, or the Raspberry Pi forum. My Lua script runs fine when flashed through the Windows version of the Racecapture app. But when the config is updated via the Raspberry Pi touchscreen, it crashes. zipped version of the .rcp config is attached. If I had...

Where are "Saved Sessions" saved?
I've got a "Saved Session" which I logged using the RaceCapture App 1.16.2 on my Windows tablet. This was logged from the RC Track Mk2, which doesn't have an option for logging per se. I want to move a particular saved session over to a real computer for analysis. Where are the "Saved Sessions" save...

Re: How does Raw Mapping Offset and Bytes work?
I haven't tried any PID mapping so this is a more general answer. Offset is basically the distance from origin, in bytes. So if the information you want resides in the second byte, Byte 1 (numbering typically starts with 0), and is only one byte long, the offset would be 1 and length 1. A more detai...

Re: Garmin VIRB XE
In case you didn't figure this out yet (the thread title is misleading), it doesn't matter which OBDII interface you select. You probably won't end up using it. I'd suggest just selecting default option, for regular OBDII in case you want to use this on a regular car. Depending on how your microsqui...

Re: Actually going to be upgrading the forums.
I too found a spam post and used the ! to report it.
Strange, I can't add attachments to this thread, but I was just able to add attachments to the post I just submitted for incorrect bit mode counting.

Re: Bug in Bit Mode Channel Mapping? Doesn't work above 20?
@brentp I figured it out. It's not that they don't work above 20, it's that the bit numbering is backwards. https://forum.autosportlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=6314 I'm hoping this is an easy fix, and you can get this updated right away since all you have to do is start counting from the other end...

Incorrect (backwards) numbering for Bit Mode
There is a mistake in the numbering for Bit Mode. It's backwards. 0 should start from the other end of the byte. It's incorrect in the current implementation. Offset 0 looks at bit 7, and vice versa. bit_backwards.png To prove this I added a message to a CAN DB, made individual signal names TEST_b0 ...

Re: Feature Request: CAN Mapping copy/paste (duplicate)
Well, directly editing the .rcp file using Notepad++ works quite fine. Go to the Language menu and select JSON to help so you don't inadvertently make a syntax mistake. Thanks to @brentp and the Autosport Labs team, the variable names are obvious enough to support manual editing if you want to copy ...

Re: Actually going to be upgrading the forums.
Well, hmm, I don't see how to upload attachments with the new theme. Even if you don't want to host pictures, we'll need to upload .rcp files or log files. Basically, when viewed through Chrome on my iPhone XR running iOS13.6 all I see is the first column in portrait mode. The Statistics and Last Po...

Re: Actually going to be upgrading the forums.
Hi @brentp the new website looks nice. Though I'm more of a function over form kind of person. One thing I noticed when viewing on my iPhone, the auto-size doesn't work like before. I was going to complain that the new forum style doesn't show the Last Post info to the right on the main index page. ...
