BTW - Right now, I'm actually using a Bluetooth enabled laptop with Either my Windows based software or Brent's, depending on what I'm doing with the MJ at the time. My app does not support data logging, so I use his for that.

I've been using this system in my car for about 5 months now with great success. My only complaint is the range is not very good. However, Brent has suggested that I take the metal ends off the MegaJolt box to see if that helps. If it does, I'll make a set of ends out of a more RF friendly material....

Several commands have changed length. It will take some work to get it fixed, but I'll give it a shot. With no hardware on hand, it may take some trial and error though.

I'm working on getting the V3 protocol from Brent. If I can get it, I'll see what I can do flying blind. If I can get it to a point where I think it will work, I'll send you a build to try. I'm getting my car ready to go to a show this weekend though, so I won't be able to touch it until next week.

I have mine inside the case and it does work, but the range is very short. I'm going to try making some plastic end caps to see if that helps. capri_turbo - Do you know anything about Android development? I can make you a contributor on the project if you would like to work on fixing the issue. I do...

It sounds like the response from one of the initial commands we send, get version or get global configuration is smaller in the V3 controller? The code is written to wait until the entire response comes back. If the V3 protocol has a smaller response than the V4 protocol for the same command, the ap...

What version of the hardware and firmware are you using? It has only been tested with the latest.

In the app, did you go to the Comms Settings menu and select the blue tooth pairing to use? I think the app will warn you if you don't but that is the only think I can think of that might be wrong. When do you get the error, when you click Connect?

Good point Brent. I don't think that part was mentioned earlier in the thread. I talked about the hardware and the Android application, but not configuring the module itself.

The MegaJolt Android and PcJolt for Windows apps have been released to beta. There are still some issues to work out with both apps, but they are functional. The code has been put on CodePlex and you can download the APK and EXE from there. If you are interested in helping with either project, PM me...

This is looking great. Will be following this very closely. I am assuming that it will be possible to ft the module to the kit built megajolts. Yes, my understanding is there should be no significant difference between an old "you build it kit" and one you buy pre built. Will datalogging ...

It runs! I was able to get the engine started on Sunday and have put about 75 miles on it already. I'm still working on getting the carbs dialed in at this point, but it's running pretty well. Once I get a few more miles on it, I'll start to tweak the ignition map. I have spent next to no time on de...
