I haven't attempted to connect to 12V. I'll give it a try and report back. No detectable difference when powered with 12V. I do see the light on the BT module go solid periodically, however the app still indicates "Could not detect RaceCapture/Pro" and will periodically show "Searchi...

Also, LED behavior is the same whether powered via 12v or usb? Yes this was immediate...I was not able to use it after attempting ...

smig, you're also on MK1 as well, right? Yes MK1. When you plug in to usb on windows while holding down the button, what do you see in Windows device manager? No change in Device Manager. Any USB devices show up, recognized or not recognized? Nothing showing up as either a USB device or an Unknown ...

What I've found is you can add a channel in a script using the addChannel function and call the channel whatever you want. If you add a channel with the same name as an standard channel name it will override the standard channel.

I upgraded to the v2 firmware with XP successfully with no issues, but was not able to connect to the v2 app and ended up going with linux, given that XP is EOL.

It did work for me. It even showed dynamic channels when I added them. It will stop if there is a lua script error.

Hey jakekooser questions are welcome and there is always an opportunity to improve. Until this gets some significant time being driven in anger, anything is possible, including going back to the drawing board. ;)

Is a single turn pot enough? I have some 5-turn pots from some old equipment I was going to use. I think mine is 2.7 lock to lock. Taking into account that gearing 1.33:1 I've got enough for what I want to look at. I decided I wanted more resolution in the region that the wheel should be spending t...

I think it would be a really good fit for a 3d project. I'm not sure what the variations in steering column diameters/dimension are, but a press fit onto my column (94 Integra) would work well and simplify things. If the bracket from the pot was slotted, then it could be made to be pretty generic I ...

Here is the listing for the pot that I used: http://amzn.com/B00HKJ2J08 Unfortunately it appears the price on these have nearly doubled since I made my purchase. It might be worth looking around for a better price or equivalent/similar part. The gears I used came from here: http://amzn.com/B002Q0PA3...
