Nice results ! Once you damped the acc signal, reducing acc's peaks, you could low-pass signal (to have kart acc) and substract this resulting signal from original damped acc to generate high-pass signal (to have high frequencies only). Then, you choose the "clipping" frequency upon high f...

I am looking to this post since I have interests into kart installation and I am physicist. Is the board, inside the enclosure, suspended ? Like in a old CD player, the internal component is suspended to reduce jogger-generated vibration and keep the laser alignment. I know that the CD player has al...

Data Analysis Software - Motec, Gems, AEM

I am used to Motec's i2 Pro software (http://www.motec.com/i2/i2overview/). I found AEM Data Analysis software (http://www.aemelectronics.com/data-loggers-66/aemdata-data-analysis-software-81/). They seams to have an agreement with GEMS and their data analysis software (http://www.gems.co.uk/?conten...

GPS Data - non altitude ?

I get a look to example log files, and RaceCaptue Pro specifications, and I didn't find latitude data.

Is missing from your GPS features or not selected from configuration ?

GPS connection

Your GPS seams to connect into RJ11 connector.

I will buy BT-818XT or BT-Q1000eX.

Will these GPS connect to RaceCapture Pro via bluetooth or another conector ?

Ignition sensing via coil spiraled wire

Actually, on kart engine, we are using a spiraled wire around the high voltage wire to detect firing and calculate the rpm (considering waste spark ignition)

Do have experienced (or expect to have) such rpm acquisition ?

Bonjour from Trois-Rivieres, Qc, CDN

Bonjour, My name is Daniel. I love physic and simulation. I am fluent in many programming languages since I work in IT for more than 20 years. I am mature but kidding with car racing. Last year, I started my involvement with a kart racing group. Not any karts, Honda Open category. I use my physics k...
