Is it not powering the coil or is it not breaking the connection when the rev limit is reached ?

That certainly convinced me. Done away with. Removing the old ignition system allowed a neater and simpler point to point wiring regime. As the installation is in a 7 type kit car that was built by someone else I was facing having to fathom the loom wiring with multiple lucar and bullet connectors a...

retain original ignition as a fallback ?

Having mounted the trigger wheel and sensor on my modified pinto I was about to start chopping out the wiring to the original electronic distributor based ignition when I paused. I could: Remove the electronic dizzy, leads, spark module, single coil and it's associated LT wiring, sell them on Ebay a...

I am also planning on using 1 fuse for the coil and a seperate fuse for the Mjlj and Edis module.

I am presuming a 5 Amp fuse will be fine for the Edis(4) and Megajolt but does anyone know whether a 10 Amp will be enough for the coilpack please ?

Aux input ?

The Mjlj v3 I am about to fit has an external Aux input circuit built on a daughter board in the case. This is wired to the Molex in place of the User Out 4 pin. There is a note this is a resistive input but I cannot tell if it is meant to measure resistance between this input and Ground or between ...

It would be interestinbg to know what the cause was. it's unusual for coilpacks to go wrong, unheard of for 3x coilpacks to go bang one after another.

If you've got the hard rev limiter, the coil supply needs to go through the megajolt anyway. . Ive factored in running a relay from the MJ's hard rev limiter output to interupt the +v supply to the coil but thats just for switching. My question is really whether i should aim to use seperate +v cabl...

location choice for Edis ?

I am new so I'll appologies if this has been asked many times before. I am finally getting round to installing the MJLJv3 on my kit car and am running the cables. Should I install the Edis4 module on the bulkhead in the engine compartment or would it be safer behind the dash in the passenger compart...
