Well that's disappointing. Unfortunately no I do not have access to an oscilloscope to check the signal.

The CoilX module is designed to work with a conventional coil as gizmodo described, where the spark is triggered by the negative going pulse on on input to the coil pack, with the other coil pack connection tied to +12v. ohiokm11, so your coil pack is essentially opposite of that, with ground fixed...

CoilX Installation Difficulties

Brent, I ordered CoilX and installed it Saturday prior to a race on Sunday. The application is a 2 stroke Honda 125cc engine on a shifter kart. The CoilX instructions detail connecting to the negative side of the coil and and the other to ground. There is no 12v source feeding the coil, only a groun...

Yes, speed along with latitude and longitude are outputs from the GPS. They are available at a rate up to 10Hz.

I would suggest opening the file in a text editor or Excel to make sure that you have latitude and longitude data actually recorded to the file first.

The graphics shown in your link are only for the real time telemetry web based view, not the software.

So its's $7 to ship a 1"x0.5" module?! I think $0.46 would be a bit more reasonable. Maybe even $2.

We are soon releasing a small adapter board called "CoilX" that will take the high voltage signal from a coil pack and convert it to a clean signal that RaceCapture/Pro can handle. Information on the adapter can be found here: https://github.com/autosportlabs/coilx We will be have built /...

With the karting loggers they clip on external sensor or some just a single wire back to the logger this is what Rushy means not directly wiring into the HT. we do have access to the primary coil inputs that are voltage generated by mag rotor and stator type. Any ideas what would be the best option...

This is the number one thing that I would like to see as well. Also within the logfiles can the time be the actual time from the GPS? My old BT747 logger was able to do this so I suspect it is possible, just not sure how much work it is.

This might be a cheap quick alternative, just remotely connect the SD card. $4.70

I think that it is virtually all noise. It just oscillates peak-to-peak. I think what we view as being a filtered signal is really just noise. If you look at the distribution of points its clear that a large majority are at the peaks of +/- 2.4gs
