Think I may have sorted it. I had to manually type in hc08sprg.exe then copy the firmware path as a path, using the windows 10 CTRL right click 'copy as path' option. If this looks ok I'll be glad to know....

if i simply type in hc08sprg.exe I get an error message, if I copy it as a 'path' followed by mjlJunior_V3.3.0 s19 I then get the above message

Re: Mind f*ck MJ Lite Jr...please help before I slit my wrists

Thanks for getting back Brent. I suspect you're right. Windows 10 is far from intuitive and many of the online help videos show different screenshots and sequences to what I'm experiencing. As far as chucking the thing across the room, it's more a question of Bill Gate's errant technology, rather th...

Re: Mind f*ck MJ Lite Jr...please help before I slit my wrists

So here's what I see when I open a cmd and type in what was suggested: errormessagePNG.PNG driving me nuts! in the instructions: Open a command window (Click Start / Run, and enter 'cmd') Cmd.jpg Change the directory to where you saved your firmware files earlier at the C: prompt (Type cd c:mjlj and...

Mind f*ck MJ Lite Jr...please help before I slit my wrists

Hi...hoping someone can clear this up. I have a MJ Lite Jr. Version 3. I have successfully managed to connect the unit to my laptop (windows 10, using COM4) with V3.2.1 Configurator. As a basic test I can see KPA variation when I suck on the Map sensor and I can navigate through the various menus. S...

So to work up a map, I plan to book the bus onto a rolling road, used a 'locked out' dizzy (ie zero advance at all RPM) and get the operator to note the pre-knock advance figures at various RPMs...he should also be able to measure/record the corresponding load via the vac signal form the manifold at...

Hi...been on the back burner for a while but now finally got my trigger wheel and pulley sorted. The advance values I'll be using are based on the SVDA distributor which used to be sold by Aircooled Net in the states. I believe they took a stock 034 Dizzy of the mexican variety and 'tweaked' it. Out...

Initial map for VW 1776 aircooled...advice please

Hi. I've just purchased a secondhand MJlite Jr. and done a basic bench test with 3.2.1 configurator software. All seems to work fine. No issues with communication, connection etc. :D I'm planning to install this to a VW 1776 aircooled Bus. (mild road cam, ported head, full flow exhaust, single progr...

Idiots Guide required....

Hi. I'll cut to the chase: I've bought a secondhand Lite Jr. which appears to be V3, judging by the pictures. I've no idea whether it works. I understand that I need to download configuration software, and possibly other firmware to test it, along with a suitable cable. On the V3 Downloads page ther...
