12V Relay Module for RCP

Just thought I would share this... I found a relay module that uses a 5V signal to drive a 10A 25V relay. I use this with the GPIO to drive the radiator fan based on temperature. Still working on the scripting but there are ton of things you can do with it. I've confirmed it works great with the GPI...

Help with PWM

I need to drive the fan on my E46 BMW and I believe it uses a PWM value. I found the following documentation from someone who was building his own replacement controller: The fan signal trigger from the DME sends a 95% duty 100Hz PWM signal whenever the key is on and Fan Request is OFF. The DME's si...

I'd also like to see the ability to change the background color of the gauges on the tablet for use as warning lights (low oil pressure or high water pressure for example).

There are higher gain antennas but that would certainly work with the frequency band. Connector is correct (SMA) The telemetry module is mounted low in the car (passenger floor), what is my best option to improve reception? I'm wondering if this is causing some of the challenges I've had with testi...

How would this be as a suggestion? Looks like the correct connector and covers the proper frequencies?

Bug in setting Analog Sensors Channel Names?

Unable to scroll down the list of channel names when setting Analog Channels. I'm trying to set Fuel Level and others, but only see as far down as Engine Load. The list gets shorter as I use additional Analog channels No help/description when hovering the cursor over upload, download, refresh, save,...

Virtual Channel for Gear Calculator

Does anyone have the math behind determining which gear I'm in based on engine RPM and vehicle speed?

I have the final drive, tire diameter, and trans gear ratios so I know I have all the variables.

Capture Injector On Time?

How can I use the RCP inputs to capture Injector On Time? I can tap into the injector trigger, but what's the best way to measure the total on time? I know I'll have to do some scripting and I want to measure and accumulate the amount of time per second or cycle of the engine that the injector is on...

Yep, used pin #9 off the OBD2 connector. Samples at 10MHz.

brentp wrote:Hi Rob,

You can add gauges by long-pressing on the "+" symbols on the dashboard. There is a fixed list of sensor channels at this time; we're working on making this list fully customizable as well.
I tired that but it didn't seem to work. I'll play some more. Thanks!

Hi Rob, that's excellent. so you have a stable RPM reading? What telemetry option do you have enabled, if any? telemetry module or bluetooth module->android app? -Brent Running BT but about to hook up the Real Time module. I've had some issues with the tablet connecting. Once it sees it, it seems t...

I got the RPM working off of pin #9 (black wire) on the OBD2 connector under the dash. I don't have the advanced configuration, but I can post that later. This is for a 2002 BMW (E46) 330Ci. I also have fuel level working, but only from the sender on the passenger side (main pump side).

It does use a low voltage trigger for the coil on plug that these engines feature. I have a complete Bentley manual for the car with wiring diagrams. Given that the ECU is a Bosch, I can't believe it's that different from other cars running ECUs from the same vendor. If I switch to the ignition coil...
