This is an MK2 and im using windows 7 I finally got it working again, but I went through 4 different re-flashes. it worked after flashing to 2.7.2 for some reason, then flashing back to the latest. I still dont know what exactly happened... the last thing I did was change a sample rate in the lua sc...

I just got this same problem with 2.8.3 except even when I re-flash there is no connection.

All the same symptoms which you described above are happening as well.
