A smaller gap would be better, 0.75mm with a maximum runout of 0.25mm is a good target.

If you are seeing erratic RPM then my bet is that your trigger wheel is not properly centered. Looking at your pictures it looks like your wheel is not mounted using a centralising hole so you will have a much harder time centering it. Measure your runout, my bet is that you have rather more than th...

Hi,

You should have got some instructions with the adaptors which explain how you fit them but if not let us know and we can send you another copy of them.

The terminal fits in the rubber with a 90 degree bend formed at the indentation just below the cable crimping tabs. Does that make sense?

Since you're in the UK you may find it cheaper and simpler to order from us at trigger-wheels.com as we carry the stock and being based in the UK shipping should be a lot cheaper and there is no import fees to worry about

That is strange. I wonder if your copy of Windows or Internet Explorer is corrupting the download in some way.

Would it be possible for you to try the download on a different web browser - say Chrome or Firefox and see if that works.

I don't believe that the 4.0.0 configurator software will work with the 4.0.2 firmware that I suspect that you have on your ECU. The 4.0.2 configurator download seems to work OK at present from the web site: http://autosportlabs.net/MJLJ_V4_Downloads

The temperature sensing pills are single use (for fairly obvious reasons) and both they and the receiver are expensive pieces of kit. The usual way to do temperature monitoring of this kind without the radio telemetry pills would be with a rectal probe but I can't imagine that your drivers will be t...

No, you cannot add an on-board MAP sensor to your ECU. You can however run an external MAP sensor in place of the TPS.

We've supplied Megajolt systems to many people doing long duration, unsupported expeditions. For their first event they typically want a spares package plus they leave the original ignition set up so it can be swapped in if need be. Come their second event the dizzy etc has almost always been binned...

The Megajolt is low current so should be on a separate low-rated fuse, 5Amp is overkill for that really. The EDIS and coils are the bits that needs the higher current fuses. In general people connect both EDIS and coils to a single fuse, 10A should be fine on a 4-cylinder setup but with dual coils I...

It will probably work but I'd recommend keeping things separated if possible. Why not feed the Innovate from the Megajolt or EDIS tach output?

You will need a tacho adaptor to feed the 14CUX from the coils, otherwise you'll have spark but no fuel!

The Escort/Fiesta/Mondeo/etc coil packs are all interchangeable as far as EDIS/Megajolt is concerned.

There's no purchase required to change the map - you just do it! The software is free and the mapping cable should come with the ECU.
