Problems accessing Data from Mega Squirt in LUA. Any advice

Three days to race and I’m battling some RaceCapture issues and could use some help. Running Racecapture MK3 in a Neon that’s controlled with a Megasquirt. I am transferring data from the Megaquirt to Racecapture via canbus. I have an android tablet in the car that is displaying gages including RPM,...

Megasquirt integration question...

Howdy, I'm confused about the following statement in https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/Megasquirt_CAN RaceCapture/Pro MK Use the CAN High and Low connections from either CAN1 or CAN2 on the 24 pin Molex harness. Typically CAN1 is used, so you would use CAN 1 High and CAN 2 HIgh . Shouldn't this say... ...

Bump

Bumping this - any guidance for me on this? As a reminder - trying to run ShiftX2, Shift X3 (via CAN2) and MegaSquirt (via CAN1). Please see the attached wiring diagram. Does this make sense? I also need some help on the jumpers. I'm assuming I would cut the terminating resistor jumper on the ShiftX...

Advice on wiring ShiftX3, ShiftX2 and MegaSquirt

Greetings, We run RaceCapture MK3 and an Android tablet for display. Previously we were running off of a Chrysler ECU and all inputs to the Race Capture for sensors were coming in via a manually created wiring harness and discrete input wiring. We were also running a ShiftX2 and this was also wired ...

Can you confirm that AccelX forward?

Howdy, Our MK3 is mounted "conventionally" (upright on the dash with the front panel facing towards the driver). In looking at our telemetry, AccelZ is clearly up and down but I'm not positive which of the Accelerations is in the direction the car is travelling - I'm assuming this is AccelX and Acce...

Looking for help with out of memory errors

Paulo, Thanks for your response. I originally started using the ShifX2 Alert routines but I quickly began to run into memory errors (the program would run for a brief period of time and then go into Disco Light mode). I tried simply turning on the end LEDS manually in the event of a warning/danger a...

Can you compare Laps from different events on Podium?

Hey folks,

Is there a way on Podium to compare laps from different events? My podium account still retains an event from last year at the same track - I'd love to overlay it with a lap from this year. Any way to do this?

Looking for help with out of memory errors

Hey folks, I am trying to implement some Shift2X stuff and my program has begun to behave weirdly. I was getting sporadic out of memory errors and I cut out some stuff - but the program will run for a while and then act up oddly which I am assuming means out of memory stuff. I'm pretty novice at LUA...

Options for powering RaceCapture - OBDII vs Terminal Block.

Howdy, I think this has been covered on here before but I can't find it. I'm running a RaceCapture MK3 in a Chump Car. We are attempting to use the Legacy OBDII cable so we can see some data from our ECU. The OBDII cable does a fine job powering up the MK3, but our race regulations require that we s...

Slow response on digital brake input?

Hey folks, I'd assume I'm having a basic electrical engineering brain cramp here but could use some debugging advice. I have the brake switch input wired through a 10K resistor into GPPIO(1). this is mapped to a virtual channel Brake_stat. When I press the brake, Brake_stat immediately goes to 1 - b...

Unable to see virtual channels inside Race Capture?

Howdy. I suspect I have a conceptual block but I'm working on a LUA script that creates several virtual channels. When I upload this to my Race Capture Pro unit I'm not able to configure any of the dashboard gages to report out on the virutal channels. They're not appearing on my list of available c...

Bah! My fault. On my computer it turns out that i need to manually uninstall older versions of race capture. What is the latest version of the Windows race capture app?

Howdy, when I go to the download section of AutoSports Labs it tells me that the latest version is 1.11.0 When I open up my RaceCapture application on my Windows computer and check under System Status it says I'm running version 1.8.0. I tried updating race capture but the system status still says 1...

Any progress on being able to save gage customization?

Hey Brent, Has there been any progress on being able to save custom gages? Or at least enter them via a laptop instead of my android? Unless I'm missing something I need to manually go in and set all my gage warning and alert thresholds using the sliders - on my Android that's excruciating. I have 7...
