Note, that under some conditions if you put a line chart on the dashboard, it might cause flickering / flashing. If this is the case, try removing the line chart.

The RaceCapture is designed to flash the lap time on the screen whenever you pass the start/finish point, but I'm not sure if you're referring to this.

You can with the aux input; simply leave the +/- adjustment at 0, which means "no change".

Rewriting your config sounds like it is restoring settings from a saved config file that are causing problems.

Try starting with a factory reset config, then bring in your individual settings separately; then save that new file as a fresh, clean configuration.

Unfortunately, there's nothing in the logs that would indicate an error. This is not a problem that has been commonly reported; in fact, I believe yours is the only one. Therefore, I would double check the power supply stability and connectivity between RaceCapture and the Pi, and the overall instal...

Sorry to hear you broke the USB connector; If you still have it, it can be fixed by a electronics technician with experience in SMT rework.
