Maybe the SAW line isn't getting back to the EDIS unit in order to change the advance?

Have you run the engine with a laptop connected and are you able to see the rpm change onscreen when engine is revved?

My coil pack is switched through a relay to the ignition, another relay turns on Megajolt and EDIS. I don't know if it is right or wrong to leave it powered, but it might draw the battery down.

Bad plug or spark plug wire? The coil contacts are in pairs, check for continuity there. It is possible to have a bad coil, but more likely something else as three plugs fire......

Ralph, I believe it is just a resistance-based temp sender. It could be on-off too: on cold and off once warm. There is no actual time function other than however long it takes your car to warm to a certain temperature where fuel-enrichment isn't needed. A very choke-like function!

Update to the car. Still running perfectly. The ignition is hands down the best mod I ended up doing. Almost 27,000 miles now. It was around 10-12,000 when I installed the ignition. I ended up making a three-light sequential limiter by using three rpm outputs. I used another output to trigger a 12v ...

Switch the power and ground wires to the TPS. It will now read the correct way. Simple.

Mimic an 009 map for a start, 28 advanced at 3000, starting at 8 or 9 around idle. Make it linear, the Megajolt will extrapolate the advance in between points. You can try retarding the advance too above 5000 rpm to redline. Try 1 degree for every 250 revs, or 4 degrees per 1000. For load, try 5 deg...

$84 for a module, VR sensor, and TPS, including shipping! Not a bad deal at all, and not a bad idea to have brand new stuff on the shelf.

Brent, perhaps you can contact one of the Seven manufacturers. I know sometimes VERY good deals get made between vendors for a little mutual advertising. Maybe?

I saw one of these today on the street in Beacon, NY. The guy was shocked as I pulled up alongside and said, "Hey, is that a Pinzgauer?" He said it was a 1972 engine, type4, 90hp. It sounded like it was running a bit rough and needed a tune. I hope to see him at a couple of car shows this ...
