Re: Gauge control
Yes, but you'd need some form of microcontroller and a stepper motor as brent has identifiedNITROPIXIE wrote:Is it possible to control a gauge e.g. a smiths temperature gauge using PWM?????

I should clarify... Choke on > engine starts getting up to temperature > lambda should start picking up readings by this point (if it's a heated one - bosch state they are ready to start taking readings from 7 seconds, let's assume 30 is a decent point at which to take readings from :D) > AFR should...

I've also been thinking about it for my bike carb implementation on an 89 8valve VW engine. I'm still exploring the relationship between engine temperature and emissions (ie Lambda) as this would be the another answer to controlling choke rather than rely on temperature alone. There is of course the...

Nice setup!! I may have to blag your MAP off you as a start point on mine. Spec is slightly different though, but at least it should be a good start :D I'm going 2E bottom end (so 2 litre) with port and flowed 1.8head, carbs off an ZX9R and custom inlet manifold, 4-2-1 header and sticking with 2&quo...

So how would the limp home mode of the EDIS work - or in this case can I not have both? You do have both. If you installed the EDIS and nothing else (ie MJLJ and Rev Limiter) the car will run in Limp Home mode. All, and I SERIOUSLY understate it here, the MJLJ is doing is optimising WHEN the EDIS p...

Wicked motor mate!! It is a very popular engine for conversions here because of the availability of rear wheel drive gearboxes from other earlier Fords that almost bolt staight on. :D Especially in the kit car market!! Personal favourite has to be the MEV Rocket or Sonic7 http://www.madabout-kitcars...
