Now that is a complicated setup, well done.

Do aircraft engines have single or double spark plugs??

You may be able to use the four MAP sensors and then use an averaging circuit to combine all four MAP sensors to produce a single MAP input and at the same time produce a bar graph for each of the runners for a visual output.

Would use a bit of circuity and some processing to achieve this though.

Go to a scrapyard and find an old mk2 golf, they have the proper adaptors for just this so you don't need to make up your own.

Do you have space to locate the VR sensor opposite the missing tooth with the engine at TDC. The coil pack can be re-wired to counter act the different place that the VR sensor is placed.

Hi Eric I'm afraid there are no input pins left on the processor chip in order to jumper the tps input from the molex. The MAP sensor and TPS sensor both use the same input on the processor chip. There is only 1 auxiliary channel and that has been provided for you. You could only use this as an Engi...

Hey Funky, I have kind of stalled a bit to be honest on most of my projects at the moment. I'm not getting too much done at the moment as the misses is due in a couple of months and my work is getting busier and busier, boo. Plus I dont have a working jolted car to play with at the moment. Which has...

I like the use of the shift light also, well done. I have been trying to do something similar with some Mk1 Golf clocks, which involves 4 x bi colour LEDs. Formerly 2 x bulbs lit the clocks from the front so the change over isn't to difficult. They do look good changing to red whilst driving though ...

In my understanding - as a total electronic noob *g* - it doesn't make a difference from where the power comes. 12V are 12V. So, did I understand you correctly, that it is a "temporal" problem? The MJ is not designed to get power over your mentioned ULN2003 chip BEFORE there is current at...

Should do. It is made with the same design and use in mind but I am theorising and have not practically used one myself. Other people have used other VR sensors successfully in the past and I don't think I have seen a post where another VR sensor has not worked to be honest.

I think it's better to use hidden switch for coil + , or ground via switch one wire from CP sensor .
Ignition can work on EDIS without MJL
I tend to agree with Van actually, this does make more sense.

Hi Tony, I was just in the West Midlands at Xmas and New Year, parents live in Shrewsbury. First of all I would try it with another computer with a dedicated serial port (most desktops have these). You can save the MJLJ configuration file onto a memory stick as they don't use up much space if the co...
