Will next RCP control GoPro Session cam?

The new GoPro Session is a great looking, feature-rich, economical camera. But will it integrate with the next RCP?

Anyone integrated a Contour camera?

Most discussions of camera integration focus on GoPro, but has anyone successfully integrated a Contour camera using a Lua script to send a Bluetooth signal to the camera? These cameras can be paired to an iphone and activated through an app, so theoretically it should be possible. Anyone have a scr...

Cool. How about pushbutton left/right buttons? I like this idea. There is an Android app that let's you control other Android devices via bluetooth connection, so it should be possible in theory for RCP to send a BT signal to the tablet to change screens. http://www.androidauthority.com/how-to-phon...

First, I got my RCP2 enduro package in the mail and am having a lot of fun with the initial set-up and coming up with ideas for mounting, expansion, etc, which got me thinking about some of these posts. Here's something I'm been thinking about: A 3D printed frame for the new fire tablet, with hard m...

http://get.pressybutton.com/ FYI, there is a Pressy on Amazon Prime right now for under $10. Just grabbed it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JSA3942?keywords=pressy&qid=1446781447&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2 Update: I should have read the fine print, as the Pressy is designed for Android ph...

THANK YOU ASL for making an app for Mac!

This. Otherwise, the Mac app seems to work great.

Thank you stieg for the explanation and it makes perfect sense. I thought I was losing my mind because I couldnt figure out what I was doing wrong. It would be great if the mobile app could read the config from RCP2 or from the desktop app, or be able to download it from the cloud, SD card, or even ...

you do. the android's dash settings are a file locally on the android. took me like 3 minutes to setup how i like. This begs the question, what's the point of being able to configure the dashboard on the desktop app if it doesn't get transferred to the mobile app? Moreover, why does the mobile app ...

Android app only reads partial configuration

I just received my new RCP2 in the mail today and am eagerly busy with the initial set up (at home; car is at the shop). I have successfully connected RCP2 to my Mac (Yosemite), loaded the desktop app, updated the firmware to 2.8.5, and connected to RCP via USB. I configured the dashboard, race trac...

I like that.

In a related matter, BJ, I found your thread on the NASA GTS forum from last year discussing the rules regarding wireless comms with the ECU? Ws that ever worked at so that what we are talking about here is explicitly legal now?

Thanks.

http://get.pressybutton.com/ Brilliant! I have to admit that the slick design and the fact that I don't have to manufacture the thing makes the Pressy very attractive. And [presumably] they have ironed out all of the bugs. I love DIY, but I divide my time amomgst so many things that sometimes I'm w...

BJ you must get as little sleep at night as I do. You bring up a very good point. I dont think that any tablet or phone should replace the OEM instruments the way an AiM dash could, so I plan to use it to augment (and hide) the existing gauge cluster. If the app or tablet were to crash during a race...

The tablet approach has a hidden benefit, and that's the battery, which will keep itself powered during pit stops. it's like a dashboard with a battery backup. :) Very true. There are a number of benefits to the tablet: It is easy to update, it has other uses, it is cheap, it easy to replace. I ori...

My biggest concern with a using a tablet as a dash is forgetting to charge it or having something drain the battery in between session or overnight. You could wire the power to be hot all the time, but I generally don't like to bypass the ignition or kill switch for accessories. For permanent power...
