I just play a bit with your script and AEM Data Analysis and here are my observations : * if I don't remove manually the line with the wrong characters, the conversation is completed successfully, but I cannot import it. Maybe it is safer to remove the incorrect lines instead of replacing the bad c...

I noticed the same problem, and I solve it by changing the unit of latitude and longitude channels in Gems. As for the link you gave, I wanted give both the racing line and the track layout. That's why they suggest me to export the data in kml format and import it in Google maps or equivalent ;) Ho...

I think I found a new problem. I think GEMS wants lat/long in dms, not decimal. Unfortunately I don't know how it represents dms in text, so I'm not sure how to handle the conversion. edit - I assumed it was dms because in the GEMS DA program it was presenting lat/long in the track view as dms. I fo...

So I might have fixed all my issues, but I'm not entirely sure why :) I made a change to my rc pro config. I had some hairbrained idea that maybe it was the time resolution that was causing Dlog99 to behave funny with my import. I upped Time to 100hz in my config. I also made lots of script changes ...

Neo - just sent you my current perl script (which now has the time fixed I think) as well as my rc log I was testing with. I think my script actually will cover those weird non-number data quality issues by overwritting non-number values in the script with the previous number value for that column. ...

I just noticed something odd which might mean I don't have this conversion quite right. The data rate for Speed I noticed is 10hz my rc log. However after conversion (where it's still 10hz) and import into Dlog99 the displayed data rate drops to exactly 1hz. No idea why right now. I imagine other da...

Federico, I too had some floating point errors. I think neoraptor left out quite a few details unless of course I'm mistaken about how strict Dlog99 is on its log format. After lots of playing with a perl script and Dlog99 (countless retries, ugh) I think found this additional critical tidbit: - Dlo...

Compatibility with other Data Analyzer software

Would be nice to by default, or as an option, be able to log in a csv format compatible with alternative data logging software, like GEMS. For GEMS' DLog99 (an interim to converting to the GEMS DA format) the current csv format requires some massaging to get it to work and while Race Analyzer is dev...

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation! I would really like file system access in general to the contents of the drive in my laptop's OS. Would be nice as I could store a copy of race analyzer or gems on the SD card for installing on any laptop on hand making any laptop pretty much usable for analysis...

Hello from John Freund, Mitsubishi Eclipse Time Trial driver

Hey folks, just received my Race Capture Pro and am excited to get using it. I do Time Trials on the east coast in a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (quite the atypical time trial car) and have been in dire need of some telemetry and this looks like the ticket. Car's got lots of aero and modifications and...

How do Track Maps come into play with Race Analyzer?

There's a list of "supported Race Tracks" on the autosportslabs.org site for Race Capture Pro: http://www.autosportlabs.net/RaceTracks I blindly assumed this meant that within RaceAnalyzer the track data could be used with GPS data, perhaps with your gps data overlayed onto the track layou...

Possible to read datalogs via usb?

I am guessing not as I haven't found a way but is it possible to read datalogs stored on the SD card via the usb cable? Asking as the location I'd like to have the unit makes it a little difficult to get at the SD card frequently and it would be easier for me to leave the usb cable hooked up and hid...
