No- it should be a solid 5v no matter what the input voltage is.
Check the orientation of all the components so far, check for bad/cold solder joints and solder bridges. Don't proceed until you have it resolved!

Also - do you get erratic behavior with no MJLJ/Stimulator, using the default EDIS timing of 10 degrees?

The MJLJ is a complete, stand
The MJLJ is a complete, stand-alone crank fired ignition system that is fully programmable. It does not 'retard' ignition per-se, it allows you to fully program the ignition curve. Since it's a stand alone system, It's not designed to 'piggy back' on existing engine management systems; it controls t...

Glad to see things working for you! Your timing wheel setup is very interesting. In fact, I think getting a timing wheel setup is probably the most challenging part of the whole ignition setup. I've been seeing a lot of orders from UK and Europe in general. In fact, it's comprised 1/2 of my orders a...
Hi, Interpolation support
Hi,
Interpolation support is scheduled for a future firmware release- when it's ready you'll be able to update your existing firmware.
Thanks,

Yes, the case in the order fo
Yes, the case in the order form does come with ends, they're just not pre-punched with holes specific for the MJLJ. You'll have to cut your own. Not too bad with a drill and a few files...
I'm in the process of finding out what it'll take to get pre-punched panels made.

In short, it should be possible to have at least two switchable maps. I'll have to do an analysis on how to get this to work.

I've thought a bit about this
I've thought a bit about this, and kind of smacked myself in the head for not thinking of this. There's enough flash memory to provide at least two different complete configurations. Probably what you'd end up doing is wiring a switch to one of the unused ports on the microcontroller, then it's posi...

I'm sure you've seen my writeup on this already: http://picasso.org/mjlj/?q=node/view/2 It can be tricky to visualize. However, what matters is that the sensor is XX degrees before the missing tooth, *when* the crank is at TDC. Make sense? it doesn't really matter where the missing tooth is- as long...

Interesting. Initial thoughts
Interesting. Initial thoughts is that you'd need as many MJLJ modules as you'd have EDIS modules- you don't want one MJLJ module to send a signal to multiple EDIS modules. In the Rx7 situation, the EDIS modules will fire their "advance request" (PIP) signal at different times, and the resp...

crank sensor connector
Hi, I'm in the market for a new sensor connector as well.. my connector was damaged when my crank sensor wheel broke off during a race this weekend.
The connector for the crank sensor doesn't look like any fuel injector connector I've seen. Where can you buy these?
Thanks,
Brent
