Re: Failed firmware upgrade help

Hi,

You can simply try the firmware upload again. Go to Setup, load a previously saved config file from the same device, and then go to the firmware tab, and go through the process again.

Re: Raspberry Pi support - enables a hard-wired, dedicated dash

For the resolution, we will watch out for additional reports on this. A fresh install of bullseye with the app installed per the instructions should work right out of the box with the official display. Yes, the direct mapping is much faster. If you have the same channel name defined in multiple plac...

Re: Link G4+

Hi Keith, are you still using the Lua script for mapping? Does the built-in CAN mapping preset for the Link work for you? If so, I would switch to that, since it will run more efficiently than the Lua script, and then you can preserve your Lua script for other tasks.

Re: Raspberry Pi support - enables a hard-wired, dedicated dash

Hi, 1. Fullscreen mode crash on the Pi will be fixed in the 2.10.5 release. In the meantime, please avoid setting this (it's fullscreen anyway on the Pi) 2. Not correct. The RC app, when installed per the instructions runs in 800x600 mode. https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/RaceCapture_on_Raspberry_Pi 3...

Re: Raspberry Pi Camera Support

Hi, here are the instructions for setting up video+data livestreaming:

Raspberry Pi is not supported due to the minimum system requirements (it just does not have the CPU/GPU performance).

Re: Creating logs from datastore.sq3 file?

Hi, what version of the app are you running? The recent app has some fixes around how files are exported, so make sure you update it. Are you prompted for a name when exporting? Also, what version of android is the device running on? Technically speaking, the datastore.sq3 can be moved to the deskto...

Re: New RCP mk4 setup - logging data but nothing displayed in PC app: Analysis

Hi, For posterity, the solution was to ensure Lap Timing was enabled in the system. Without it, the ElapsedChannel isn't defined, which analysis needs for indexing time for the playback and line charts.

Re: connecting to can bus on 2018 mustang gt350

Hi, often the streaming CAN bus data is available on the OBDII port, along side the OBDII communications. Have you tried to see if data is being broadcasted there?

Re: New RCP mk4 setup - logging data but nothing displayed in PC app: Analysis

Hi, are you just testing with the car static, or is it moving, such as on a race track, or in a circuit?

Is this data imported into your PC after recording to an SD card? Can you zip the log and attach it here?

Thanks,

Re: Link G4+

Hi Keith, The presets are just a convenient way to load channels into the CAN mapping feature; each individual channel is otherwise fully editable. The mapping system is documented here: https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/CAN_Bus_Integration In addition to system presets, you can also save your own cust...

Re: Link G4+

However, you should be using the Link direct CAN preset we have in the system, instead of the Lua script - it works much better and has faster response.
https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/CAN_Bus_Integration

Note that this post was from 2017, before we had the direct CAN integration available.

Re: Link G4+

Well I guess we can declare these forums officially dead... That's funny! Our forums don't have a good way of notifying on new posts, like FB and Discord have, and I don't always get to checking for posts. We could do a better job, for sure! The answer to your question is you probably have a channe...
