I finally manage to mount it vertically in the tail, building a support. For motorcyclist, it would be really nice to have a small box with the sensor inside. It would be much more easy to place it near the center of gravity. The other suggestion would be to incorporate a 3 axis gyro, and choose whi...

Ok. Do you already have an ETA for this function? I will record data the whole day and analyse it home, or open the bike during the pause. Here are my other questions : * Is it possible to plug a MCU on the board (RS232) to expand functionnality? What is the frame format required? Is it possible to ...

Yes, that would be interesting, but I may not have enough place to mount a unit vertically.
The gyro only has 1 dof? Or is only the yaw axis used?

Thank you for your quick answer  I will try to do the best, but the system can not be 100% flat. However, the yaw sensor is not as important as in a car (page 12 of http://web.mechse.illinois.edu/media/uploads/web_sites/104/files/tdhull_ms.20120526.4fc13cfb6a9ff8.47524726.pdf) In a motorcycle,...

Hi Ryan,
Thank you for your answer.

I plan to install the unit in my motorcycle and I would not like to open my bike each time to take the SD card.
That's why I need to know if I can retrieve the data from another way, either wireless (wifi/BT), or wired (USB).

I think this feature also needs to be in the analysis software, as it is the best way to see where the accuracy of the rider/driver needs to be improved. The comparison between 2 drivers is also very important !! There are some really good software that we can inspire from (AEM Data, Gems data analy...

General questions

Hi, I have a couple of questions regarding RaceCapture Pro and its analysis software. * Is it possible to plug a MCU on the board (RS232) to expand functionnality? What is the frame format required? Is it possible to plug more than one device (io expansion + dash)? * How to retrieve data? Is-it poss...

Mounting in motorcycle

Hi everyone, I would like to mount the logger tomorrow in my motorcycle. What is the best place to put it? Is there some calibration in order to set the vertical position, because I don't think I will manage to place it fully horizontal? Is there some motorbike specific options (lean angle would be ...

To have the laptime, you need : 1. Set a distance channel in "Data > Distance channel setup" (from Speed or GPS coordinates) 2. Select where you want to place your beacon and make a right click there and select "Place GPS Lap Beacon at cursor" 3. Increase the "Beacon range&q...

I managed to open csv data from Race Capture Pro with GDA (not the pro version). :D Here is how : * Open your CSV data with excel (or another spreadsheet) * Place the time row in first position * Make the time start at 0 (substract each cell with the first time) * Change each column title to have on...
