You could try running one off the GPIO and one off the analog out. I would also suggest you take a look at this script: http://autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?t=4328

According to this it supports scrolling: http://docs.esupport.sony.com/pc/SVT111 ... 01/01.html It doesn't mention which model though.

I think you can use the down arrow (I think it follows the cursor) and it will scroll, or I believe the mousewheel and trackpad scrolling work.

You have to use the mousewheel. If you're on a laptop you'll need to enable scrolling from the trackpad.

Did you get the drivers installed correctly? Can you see the RCP in your computer's Device Manager when it is plugged in?

I tied it into the negative terminal on the RCP.

This script is really cool, thanks for posting it! I am using it on GPIO and had to flip the values passed to setGpio. The lights were off when they should have been on, and on when they should have been off. Other than that it works great.

What version of the firmware are you running? I was having a lot of trouble with RPM until version 2.7.8 (on an MK1).

In my opinion a position sensor like that isn't terribly helpful with something like a brake pedal due to the nature of the brake system. For my car I just tapped into the brake light switch for an on/off value. Just knowing whether I am on the brakes or not was enough for me. If you're really inter...

I have an MSD tach adapter that outputs the same signal, a 12 volt square wave. When I asked Brent he said it should be fine since the inputs are protected. I haven't been able to get a signal from it though. Brent did say he ordered a tach adapter to test with, but I haven't heard if he had any luc...

The log files should work version to version. They have for me in the past anyway. .rcap is the configuration file for the hardware itself.

This is disappointing. V1 users are already getting left behind and that thing barely worked. Looks like it is time to find a new datalogging system.

New Firmware

Can the new firmware be used on the first version of the RCP? The download page seems to indicate it can't.

It looks like my local Radio Shack lists a bunch of different zener diodes. I don't see one listed at exactly 5 volts. There are 4.7 volt and 5.1 volt versions. I'm guessing I want as close to 5 volts as I can get without going over, correct? I don't have anything to monitor the signal, but from wha...
