Love to see the brake stuff as I'm not happy with the slow response I'm getting. Sounds like your making great progress! The brake channel is working fine and the scaling is simple. I don't recall what you had but this is correct and responds fast. I confirmed pressure values using Durametric simul...

Jaytee, How was your progress in the last year since you posted? Working through reverse engineering and trading notes in the 987.1 CAN mapping thread I noticed many of the channels you posted are similar if not identical to those on the 987.1 even though we have different ECU's. In retrospect it ma...

Hi Brent, thanks for the quick reply. I need to clarify based on your response. I'm not talking about the scaling formula, I'm talking about the min/max range . To keep the same example, my oil pressure range is 0-75psi, my scaling formula is correct and my data reports that correctly with real psi ...

Hi, the analysis ranges is derived from the channel settings you specify in the channel configuration, viewable using the gear icon for the particular channel you're editing. We're working on a feature that will let you override those settings in analysis, queued for a future version. This is the c...

My current solution is a RF relay board with a single 10 amp, but I'm only switching low power change over solenoids (typically used for vacuum powered manifold or boost control valves), and it's worked fine for years. For a generic design I would guess the size or number of relays would depend how ...

Thanks Brent, guess that explains it. Under "Automatic Controls" I assumed the start and stop triggers were global settings given the generic title, but based on your response they only apply to the camera control settings below them I guess. Seems to me that same control logic/option to c...

I want to give support for both these ideas. I just completed my first track day with RC and found the default speed based trigger to stop lap timing never triggered a single time after pulling in the pits (speed channel works fine, still can't figure out why yet). After a minute of waiting I really...

Sorry yes oil temp is there. It has been ages since I worked on this. I think Brent made my configuration available. You should be able to just load it an go. Otherwise download the zip and use the config there. I got my RCT2 installed and used your presets to get a jump start. I've found a few dis...

Yes! Great sub forum! Brent, any way you can provide packet filtering in the future? I feel the RCP3 is already capable of reading can data. A method of filtering packets to only show what is changing, and at what position would go along way in helping the rest of us map the can bus for different c...

RelayX

Somewhere between the AnalogX and ShiftX2 could be another product for a CAN message triggered relay board. It could also maybe report back relay state. Since CAN wires and 12V are already distributed around vehicles, why not make a board to leverage the existing infrastructure? This could be a good...

Thank you, that does help. So while Track can run all the lua scripts, sounds like the app must be started and run continuously for the scripts to start and keep running. Do I read you right?

Anyone with experience here? Brent, can you shed some light so I can figure out which hardware to buy? (edit) With exception to the analog channel functions, will all the LUA scripting that works in Pro also work in Track like the examples found here? https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/RaceCapturePro_Lu...

You make a YouTube video on it? Think I watched that one! 😀 It's been too long but I don't recall posting a YouTube video. I did however post info and pictures on other forums about my install. I used the Spek gauge because it's highly customizable for an analog gauge, like set low and ...
