Improvement suggestion for RaceAnalyzer

I think it would be helpful to have some numbers on both the time or X and Y-axes of the plots so you don't have to mouseover to get an idea of the values. That way you could just look at the graph and get a general idea of the values. I would also prefer to see the values during mouseover shown in ...

Just made some sample logfiles on my sofa. Sandisk Extreme Class 10 8GB SDHC works fine. Kingston Class 6 4GB SDHC works fine. Sandisk Ultra Class 10 32Gb microSD works fine with the included adapter! That was the big surprise, because that means the microSD card could be used in the RaceCapture Pro...

This is interesting - I'm not seeing this error currently. That's because you made it so you know how to use it. ;) Here's how I recreate it: Start a new session of Race Analyzer 1.16.0 File -> Open Race Event Select the default rc_0.radb that came with Race Analyzer. "Error Opening Failed to ...

So the laptop that it doesn't work on is a dell latitude e6500. It has 4 USB ports (comm ports 4,5,6,7.) Works fine on my old XP laptop with single USB port. (Dell Inspiron 7000) Also works on the wife's dell latitude d630 with win 7 service pack 1. By chance does the Dell Latitude E6500 have some ...

We will likely never ever use computer-style DB25 connectors that require the user to solder wires onto miniature solder cups. At most we would use a Molex Mini-Fit connector like you see with our Megajolt project, where users would need to crimp / and or solder onto pins, then click them into the ...

I see this wisdom in this "mod" because then the divided up terminal block roughly matches the grouping of the I/O terminals. It's not exactly clear to me how to replace the terminal block. Open the case and then it becomes obvious? What about a DB20 or DB25 connector or some kind of autom...

Preferred GPS antenna location?

I was originally thinking of mounting the GPS antenna on the roof of my car, out through the hole for the radio antenna that is no longer necessary. I remember seeing some kind of inverted magnetic cup that covers an external GPS antenna and holds it to the sheet metal of a car. But then I got to th...

How to do custom scaling for analog inputs?

How exactly are the raw values converted to voltage so the voltage can be converted to physical units? http://www.autosportlabs.net/images/4/46/RA_analog_advanced_config.png Since the analog inputs are 0-5V, is 0d (raw) =0V and 1023d=5V? For example, if I wanted to log the wideband O2 sensor signal ...

Thanks for the clarification, good to hear that the default orientation corresponds to terminal block facing forwards, as that just happens to be the most convenient mounting location/orientation in my car. :)

I made the same mistake when my Race Capture Pro arrived yesterday and I was trying it out in my living room. ;) Took me a while of stumbling around in Race Analyzer until I figured out how to import the .log file.

Windows 7 also affected

The same thing also happens under Windows 7, so this doesn't appear to be confined to Wine. Screenshot attached as an attachment. Log file sent to Brent via PM. Just about any 2-32GB SD or SDHC card should work. It really does work with SDHC? My computer itself doesn't even like SDHC cards, I have to use a USB adapter to get it to read them. That's great news that SDHC is compatible because I can also use that type of card for my digital camera. What size ...
