The shrink-wrap might have 'helped' by not allowing the diodes to keep cool.

Well, I've stuck to my prediction! :D

I have attached a couple of pictures of my carb's new tps and bracket. It cost me about £5 including the tps and connector - not a bad result for a day's work!

The silver-coloured angle bracket is now in the process of being sprayed black.

I notice that from elsewhere that you have just got a TPS from a Fiesta. It will only rotate one way, so will need to be mounted on a particular side of the carb to suit it's direction of rotation. I made this mistake with my first on and had to go back to the scrappie to get on that turned the oth...

Got one today! Came off a Ford Escort circa 1990, and cost me the grand total of £2.35p ($4 approx). Now to clean it up and devise a way to link it to my Weber carb (see topic elsewhere). Apologies for hijacking the thread, but it proved very useful for me! cheers, David Oh - while I think of it - t...

Many thanks Teds - I have everything else, and have had it running for quite a while, it's just that I want to fit a different carb on a temporary basis and am looking for a cheap TPS to tide me over until I get the proper bike carb installation finished. And Martin - my response was tongue in cheek...

I wasn't sure if it would have a carburettor - that's why I asked

Not that many carb'ed engines had TPS fitted, IIRC.

Fitting a TPS to a Weber DGV down-draft carb

Has anyone fitted a TPS to Weber 32/36 DGV (or DGAV) down-draft carb?

If so, do you have any pictures?

I'm looking for clues...

cheers,
David

Teds,

Just one question - where would I find that TPS on a fiesta engine? Is it easy to find?

It looks just right for my current needs...

Brent,

Any chance of stickers/decals for the Megajolt box itself?

So the MJLJ processor will have an internal look-up table to convert the raw measured voltage to the scaled value- temperature, for example. Much like how the load axis works. Furthermore, the table can be effectively bypassed so the raw ADC value is measured and logged. Sound good? Brent Sounds id...

That would be excellent - would it be recording a digital value, or an analogue voltage?

What a coincidence!

I was thinking the same thing just a few days ago - it would be really nice if an external input could be added to the log, e.g. the output from an AFR monitor.

cheers,

I was wondering how the info about the range of the TPS gets into the MJ's processor - presumably it needs to know what's min and max so that it can calculate its timing. And I didn't get any further with Win98 - I finally decided to get a new battery for an antique laptop that has Win2K on it. as i...
