It doesn't matter if the Megajolt is pre-assembled or a kit. Brent preloads the proper firmware. So all you need to do is download the proper software from this website. Make sure it matches, I gather you have Megajolt version 4. You do have a bit of work ahead of you with making a harness(loom to y...

Try turning the inductive lead over 180 degrees. That way, it senses the pulse going the other way. Others have had trouble with advance timing lights, and had to switch to a regular one, no advance. Plus especially Snap-on seems susceptible to problems.

I personally would leave the hard rev limiter on all the time. Can't you have different hard limits with each map? Or is it global? Been so long since I've programmed it I can't remember. One switch, connected to three separate relays would do what you ask though. Relay one, power to fuel pump, rela...

Ian, probably more a factor of carb/cam than spark for a hunting idle. Mine is rock steady down to 600 on my VW flat four. BTW, high-lift cam, 1.5:1 ratio rockers and 1 throat per cylinder Webers. Previously had a distributor with Mallory Hyfire 6 CD unit. Idle is a lot smoother now with no other ch...

Spandit, yes you can do that but make sure it is really centered well. I have an aluminum V pulley on my crank. Obviously my 'Jolt pulley is steel/iron center. I machined a sharp-edged lip on the crank pulley and a corresponding one in the 'Jolt pulley. They fit VERY snug, an interference fit almost...

So sorry to Kelley and you, Brent. It was a needless and stupid act, and the innocent always suffer.

As far as 24V, I would use two 12v batteries in series and just power the Megajolt from one of them. It doesn't draw much at all, 5 amps tops. Simple and effective. If you must use the distributor, others have had good luck using a Mazda rotary pickup from I think their distributor. Dean 924 can hel...

Glad you sorted it out. I do remember how much help I got at the beginning before I got a clue! These unique installs and all the differences in computers and cables makes for a pot luck of end results. You never know how it is going to go. I had a weird glitch through my turn signal circuit and rew...

Patriq, on my install I did a separately relayed and fused power supply for the coil, did you do the same? I know it is overkill(mine) but I did it anyway! Remove one fuse and the car is deader than dead!

Try and turn around the lead on your timing light, it is inductive correct? Sometimes the lights behave funny with EDIS. If reversal doesn't work, get an old hardwired style and try that.

Take the line off the manifold and blow into it with your mouth. You should be able to at least get a couple pounds of positive pressure that way, and see it on the Megajolt GUI and your gauge.
