Having to log in too often?
Over the past few days I've had to log into this forum, even though I tick the 'log me in automatically' box every time. Is there a problem? I have cookies enabled for this website, and it worked just fine up until a few days ago - I've haven't changed any settings. In the past I've only had to re-l...

Brent, I think that the banner is the main problem - it doesn't close and hand over control to the main MJ config window. Is there any way of re-writing that bit of code? Or could it be handed to someone else to have a look? The other bugs are very minor by comparison (e.g. menu display, which has a...

Further update: It may be a timing issue, due to the much slower processor. No hard evidence, but clue may be in the way it will sometimes work, and other times not. I've been setting it out tidily to make its use easier, with a desktop shortcut, config files in a special folder, and so on - and it ...

Please do give it a try and let us know. I would - if I could get it to run! :D UPDATE: Just had another look - I'm trying to run v3.2.1 under Win98 (not SE), with the following results:- 1. The opening splash screen comes up, and the main window may or may not come up behind it. The splash screen ...

Anyway - the function I would really like to use when on the move is ...

I have had exactly the same results with Win98 (not SE) on one of my computers. This is a shame, as it's an old Toshiba Libretto, a tiny 'palmtop' that would be perfect for configuring 'on the go'. Mind you, the screen is only 640 x 480, so it doesn't quite fit properly! :? Perhaps we need a 'lite' ...

Emerald can be found here . Think of it as a commercial equivalent of Megasquirt. It's quite a popular system in the UK, but it's not cheap. However, it is very versatile and can be applied to a wide range of engines. It's certainly a lot easier to get running than MS but, as I say, you have to pay ...

Well, at my idling rpm the ignition advance will probably be around 18 degrees. I have found from previous experiments that there is NO WAY that the engine will turn over even once at that setting! I'll probably set the start-up value to around 10 degrees, maybe even slightly less. Brent - once the ...

A quick question regarding the start-up timing setting
Brent,
Just want to clarify something, as I'm about to alter my maps - one cell holds the timing value to be used during start-up (cranking timing). Is it the cell shown below in red?
cheers,
David

Paul, As a matter of interest, did you run-in the cam when you first started the engine? Generally, a new cam should be run at 2500 rpm or higher for the first 20 minutes - see Burtons for details (see first and last paragraphs for relevant bits). A great way to impress the neighbours, especially if...
