Yes, a type1 from back in 2002. I have over 20,000 miles on it, going very strong still. No signs of less power yet, but I do realize a top end refresh is in order by 30,000, as it dyno-ed at almost 180 hp. Jake built me a really nice motor. The Megajolt really helped a lot with more power, better d...

Thanks, but no thanks on the G60. I have a Passat 4motion, a 550 Spyder, and a '72 911 project. Only two cars fit in the garage, so no more room at the inn. But it is tempting.........

Love the baja, have always wanted to do one. I really like the Chevette too. Sleepers are great, but that one will really drop some jaws..... I had a totally stock-looking G60 Corrado, but underneath it was modded to the hilt. I used to spank Mustangs and Camaros and Vettes all day long! Keep up the...

Remote mounted coil will be fine. 911 guys use COP, so I don't think that will be a problem, do some research to see what coils they are using, I am unsure as to what is being used successfully. I do know it is done though. I have a regular EDIS setup on an aircooled 4 VW, but will be doing COP on a...

Sounds like you may need a reservoir to smooth out the pulses.

Forgive me, I don't mean to be insulting, but here goes: There are three pins on a TPS. A TPS is a potentiometer, or variable resistor. The two outside pins are usually(90% of TPS or more) a fixed resistance. One side goes to 5v, the other to ground. The third or middle pin is the varying resistance...

No problem. Even though Google mines all your search data, it is all I use, it does work well!

Sorry Marc, mine is NA, no experience with turbos at all. Some of the aircooled drag turbo guys should be able to give you a rough curve, as well as the right amount of boost retard.

It should be relatively easy for us Megajolters to add a wire from the 5v tap on the TPS power over to the serial connector on a V3. Or am I missing something? Looking at the schematic, we can cut the trace going to pin 9 of the DB9 and put 5V to it, easy peasy! This one has a 5V in port: http://www...

COP all the way, 12 of them are going on my 911 motor! We'll figure it out I am sure. There will be plenty of room for 2 or 3 enclosures, btw.

Will do soon, just got the car back in MY garage from my sister's house. If you put the coilpack with the spark terminals facing up, the wires go straight to each plug when the coil power connector is facing the driver's side(cylinders 3 and 4).

Your original power feed that went to the coilpack needs to go to the limiter. Then the "out" from the limiter goes to the center(on a Ford style) pin of the coilpack.

Personally I like white LEDs!

Hey Brent, will there be enough room to install a couple(3 in my case) of these driver boards for twin-plugging possibilities on a 6 cylinder?

With a large hole in the toothed wheel, you may be able to mount the wheel on the inside of your pulley. Some people have used the heavy Berg-type "harmonic balancer" steel pulley and just drilled a bunch of holes to make a toothed wheel. After you drill the holes, then all you need is a V...

Look at my pics for help in the wheel/sensor department. Plus there are others here with type1s and type 4s. My pics are under Porsche 550 Spyder Replica in the "powered by" section. I have a 911 shroud and a 5" pulley on a type1, so they may or may not help you. Be sure to locate you...
