I wouldn't go too crazy with AN lines and such. I mean it is just a vacuum source. Run a rubber line from each manifold to a vacuum reservoir and mount it behind the shroud, you'll never see it. Then from there run to your MJLJ, done. Also, I wouldn't put the EDIS module so close to the coilpack, yo...

Brent, I didn't have any video of comparison, but my distributor was +/- 5 degrees at 3000 rpm! The Megajolt is rock steady, some people have asked me if I have EFI, but I am on Weber carbies. Type1 VW, and I gained rock steady idle, more power everywhere in the curve, and just smoother, as we all k...

As Funky says, use the relay wired as above. Any Bosch-type 30 amp automotive relay will do. Coil current is usually 50 ma, so the MJLJ will be fine with that. A Facet pump draws what, MAYBE 5 amps, so any relay from 20 amps up is fine, use 16 gauge wire or heavier, I would use 14, I always go a ste...

David, on my type1 I used the stock wires for a US Ford Escort, circa 1991. I just slid some Bosch airseals on the spark plug boots. Plus you need to screw on the little aluminum pieces on the end of the plug to properly seat the wires. My coilpack is over the #3 cylinder, I have a fiberglass 911 sh...

Rich, you probably did message me and I forgot! Thanks for the kudos. Yes, I like the white very much. RE the guys on Spyderclub: they can't be convinced, neither can the boys on Speedsterowners.com. They all use(mostly) the 009 distributor on their aircooled motors. So sad for them, as the curve an...

Run EDIS in limp-home or with some type of fixed map at idle. Read the advance with a timing light and adjust accordingly. I set mine up in the center of the tooth(I think, it was over two years ago!), and it ended up being 2.5 degrees off. No problem, I just adjusted it in the v3 Global options. Of...
