Great! Can you provide pictures of your installation? There is a simple circuit you can use to interface to your tach. I'll dig it up and put it on the website. With the rev limiter, the only thing I could think of with the EDIS module is to use the 'rev limiter' RPM output and use it to cut power t...

Actually, if it's acceptable
Actually, if it's acceptable to use TPS to represent engine load, it should be possible, with some minor circuit modification. the TPS would replace the map sensor as the input to the processor. You would use the software and programming the same way- 0 on the "MAP" would represent closed ...

That's unfortunate. Good thing those transistors are inexpensive!
When the output is 'on' you should be able to measure conductance to ground.

Looks like I answered your comment in the other post regarding reversed voltages. The HIGH/LOW setting means the output is turned ON if the value is exceeded (say 3000 RPM) if the output is set to HIGH, and turned OFF if the value is exceeded if the the output is set to LOW. As for the rev counter, ...

There are diodes in the power
There are diodes in the power supply circuit to protect against reverse voltages, so you should be ok. The output transistors switch ground so there is no voltage per se. Let's say if you were driving a relay with one of the outputs - you would connect one side of the relay to +12v, and the other si...

Which way is your map sensor mounted? It should be soldered in with the port facing down.. see the assembly instructions http://picasso.org/mjlj/?q=book/view/13
Here's the datasheet for the sensor:

The sensor does mount with the vent pointing down! this is important. So Josh, you do have it correct. Another way to verify is that the sensor's pin #1 (the pin with the notch) is aligned with the pad that has the 'dot' next to it. It seems that the mounting holes are a little off for the sensor. y...

Actually, for the 4 cylinder, you want the sensor to be 90 degrees before the missing tooth when #1 is at TDC. the EDIS module will default to 10 degrees in it "limp home mode" (when no controller is hooked up to it). So, for the 4AG, you could mount the wheel so the missing tooth is point...

Don't forget to click "write flash" after clicking "update config"! the "write flash" makes the update persist after power cycling.
I wonder if I should always have it write the config to flash..
