Have crank trigger set up on lathe. Trying to get configuration preliminary loading accomplished.
Tested EDIS-4 alone. Works fine. Wired up controller. Nothing but "Cannot connect to port" trying USB port. Broke out old laptop with Windows XP and serial port. Pip and saw signals seem to be correct to Molex connector.
Getting MAP signal to computer, but no tach. Using RJ11 cord and serial port adapter. Ringing pinout per schematic, there is no continuity between pin 3 on the RJ11 connector and pin 5 on the serial port. There is continuity between pin 4 on RJ11 and ser. Port pin 5. Is this correct? The schematic shows RJ11 pins 3 and 4 bridged together to pin 5 on the serial plug.
Might this be the problem?
