A nice chap with some experience and/or a rolling road would be the most ideal solution. There aren't many alfa boxer engines on here i'm afraid.

The basic Map should be sufficent and safe to drive with the mean time.

I think there is a UK-based 550 Spyder website. Lots of British Spyder guys use alfasud engines, perhaps they can help you with a starter ignition curve to make your map from?

I'm working on a map for my alfa 33 1.7 8 valve, they're probably quite similar.

I found a graph of the ignition curve for the early Alfasud - probably 1300 (printed in 1975!). Although they state 8'@idle - 22'@2000rpm and 36'@4500 this graph looks really low - can anyone explain this? (I'll try and attach a scan)

Ive now sorted the carb jetting out a bit as it was running lean at higher revs,I drilled the 135 mains out to 160 then 180 much better, she really pulls now,the CO's around 3-4 % when pulling hard in 3rd And the HC's are around 220 at idea which is great!
Alfa Boxer hows the map going? Mines not pinking but I know theys still more to gain on the ignition side as well.

I have a device that tells u exactly what the mixture is at whatever load and revs your doing on the open road and you can ajust the map to suit. car runs really really well :D although i need to build the aux input ,for cold starts this adds 3deg to the first three bins untill up to a presett temp.
