Internal assembly wire gauge?

Brent, I just finished the assembly of the Hard Rev Limiter and have a concern.
when installing the assembly into the MJ the instructions say to use a 14ga. wire for the +12v and the coil wire. I found that the holes were not large enough for 14ga. wire. The largest wire I could fit without trimming off conductors was 18ga.
What are your suggestions?
