GPS antenna specifications question

Hello,
First time post on this forum. I just purchased a RCP with CAN and I have a question and concern about the GPS antenna. First, can anyone tell me what the signal gain is for the antenna used on the 50hz units that are shipping?
Also, I am going to mount the antenna on the roof in the center of my vehicle (metal roof) and would like to have the antenna cable exit through the same hole as the mounting. I noticed from the pictures that the antenna wire is at one end of the antenna enclosure which will force me to have two holes or else a seperate mounting plate. I want to keep the installation clean since it will be on my new daily driver/occasional track car. There are many other antenna options on the market that I could possibly use if I can't work out a satisfactory mounting arrangement.
