RCPro configuration with VDO temperature senders?

Post by GTIspirit »

Has anyone replaced their VDO gauges with the RCPro, using just the VDO sender and eliminating the VDO gauge? I'd love to get rid of my analog VDO gauges which don't have good display resolution in the 200-220F range and replace them with the RCPro virtual dash. 8)

I've got a 120C/250F gauge on coolant temperature and a 150C/300F gauge on oil temperature.

I found this technical info on the VDO senders, but I can't figure out which characteristic curve for each temperature sensor.
323-801-001-006K/N should be the p/n for the 120C/250F coolant temp sender I'm using.
323-801-012-002D/K should be the p/n for the 150C/300F oil temp sender I'm using.
Problem is, the characteristic curve tables are for p/n's 92-027-xxx.

Oh, and check this out for calculating the temperature versus voltage, cool stuff!

Anyone know how to match up the VDO sensor characteristic curves starting on page 10 of the document above with the corresponding VDO gauge sender?

Oh, and I'll have the same question regarding the pressure senders. I've got a 150psi pressure sensor installed for oil pressure. Here's the technical info (linky isn't working at the moment).
