Get Android device to use 4G, when Wifi to RC is connected..

Post by kiwiracer »

So, Im new to RC.. Just got it !

I am using a tablet with 4G in it, I connect the wireless to the RC device successfully, write settings and it generally works.

But I find when the Wifi is Up, the Android Tablet does not use the 4G connection for data, so all the apps fail, thus, RC app does not talk to Podium...

Is there a way to change the binding / IP routing order in Android to get the device to use 4G as the default gateway and just the WIFI when the App is talking to the RC device ?

thanks

Hi,

This is is a known issue with certain versions of Android; you'll likely need to reverse the connection so RC connect's to your phone's hot spot:

Newer versions of Android and iOS appear to be smart enough to not have this problem.

Hope this helps!
