RJ45 connector wiring convention for RaceCapture/Track?

Post by GTIspirit »

What is the RJ45 connector wiring convention for the RaceCapture/Track MK2? Is this convention standardized across all Autosport Labs devices?

So it would be like this?

Image
I assume the RJ45 CAN bus connection pictured above is from perspective looking into the device side female receptacle?

So the pin numbering to color convention is:
RJ45 Power, ground and CAN bus connections to RaceCapture/Pro EIA-T568B RJ45 cable color codes (check printing on the cable to confirm) Connection RaceCapture/Track MK2 (RJ45 cable)
Pin 8 +12v Brown
Pin 1 Ground Orange/White
Pin 2 CAN 1 High Orange
Pin 3 CAN 1 Low Green/White
Pin 4 CAN 2 High Blue
Pin 5 CAN 2 Low Blue/White

Hi, You can find it in the online docs:

https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/RaceCapt ... s_to_power

Same pinout as RaceCapture/Pro.

Yes, but that page only lists the wire colors, not the pin numbers. I suppose it assumes there is a coloring convention when inserting wires into an RJ45 connector.

The numbering in the picture above is from perspective looking into the RJ45 receptacle on the device, correct?
