running in limp home mode

Post by dan97019 »

If the megajolt software is showing that everything is working properly but the motor is still running in limp home mode would it still be possible for the megajolt unit to be bad.

I have tried changing out the EDIS module with a used one that I was told came off a running car but it didn't change anything. I have also verified that all the wiring is good, I have been running megajolt for at least 5 years so this is a problem that just came up out of the blue.

Is the VR sensor an either it works or it doesn't type of a deal?

I do have a slight voltage drop 12.3 at the battery 11.80 at the megajolt key on engine off, with the engine running its 13.6 at both points I'm not sure it that would have anything to do with it.

I have verified that I am getting 5.5 volts on pin one on the mj unit with the engine running.

My original post on this subject is,

Thank you in advance for any help or advice.

Thats your problem, it won't work on anything less than 12volts.

I have fixed the voltage issue and have tried 2 different ignition modules still having the same issue so I guess my question is that is it possible for the megajolt software to be showing that everything is working correctly but the megajolt module still does not send the proper signals to the ignition module to control timing?
