Hi Oliver,

Thanks for the note, and that's great about your project! I know of a few projects like this, with varying levels of features and sophistication.

As before, the next version of the MJLJ will be a stand-alone, ignition-only controller. It won't be Lite nor Junior- so there will be no 'V4' MJLJ, per se. Specs and features on the new controller will be forthcoming, but I think people will be quite impressed!

would Bluetooth be a suitable method of connectivity? :? Most laptops seem to have Bluetooth as do most phones these days.

Probably quite difficult to implement... sort of thinking out loud there :?

Yes, bluetooth would be pretty cool- but those modules are pretty pricey. It would have to be an add on that could be plugged into a main board.

I was just thinking how cool it would be, as I have just got a usb Bluetooth2 dongle for about £3.50 sterling to communicate with my phone.

Bluetooth

For EMC immunity, I was thinking of a pretty serious metal box for my project. If it's any good at keeping radio waves out, it will keep the bluetooth in :(
