3.3.0 Configuration Software (beta)

Post by brentp »

The 3.3.0 beta configuration software is in progress. Here's a list of completed and yet to be completed items:

Complete:
Added EDIS PIP filter level in Global Controller options
Tuning panel and grid snaps to nearest RPM/Load Bin instead of 'base' Bin
Added mouse-controlled zoom, pan and rotate to Tuning Panel
Added right-click increment/decrement selected cells for ignition advance grid
Updated colors for ignition grid and tuning view to better represent "cold to hot" (min to max advance)
Added visual cues to tuning view

To-Do:
Load & playback data logging session
Configure RPM / Load Accel smoothing
Find the one elusive status-bar spelling mistake :)
Add a new digital RPM/Load/Advance view to compliment analog gauges
Add 'restore window defaults' menu option
Possible Win98 fixes

I've attached a picture of the new tuning view.

If there are any burning requests or things I've missed, please speak up!

Hello Brendt,

is this the version where the analog aux in will be used for a temperature sensor ?

If yes, I would like it a bit more flexible. To scale it for exampe as Lambda input from a LC1, when needed.

One small thing: " Load & playback data logging session "

Can we replay it in the map cluster view too, to analyse which clusters are used during that log.

Cheers
Rainer

You could add a graphic that read curve graph of a kind wideband oxygen sensor and a knock sensor, there would be very good system MJLJ

This is a new version of the Configurator only - there are no changes to the firmware onboard the MJLJ for temp sensors, lambda sensors etc. Well, not as far as I know anyway ;)

Hi all,

Thanks for the feedback. Temp sensor calibration won't be for this release- but will be available in a combined firmware and config software release.

Thanks,

OS X

Any chance of a fresh release to run under OS X - or Linux?
I'm still running version 2 under Java and it'd be nice to have some new sooper dooper software...

i have a request too... not sure if it is possible, but would be really handy if you could select a load of cells, say a block or a complete row, and then increment them all by a degree, rather than having to do them all individually.

the move row or column as a block would be useful

(DTA use this feature on their map software...)

Hotrodfil:

The software is written using a framework that can easily cross compile to LInux, OSX and windows. So in theory, it should be easy, although I haven't tried it yet. I'm set up to cross compile in Linux, but not Mac. I'll put it on my list. :)

mr_bridger:

Yes, this exact thing will be in the new version.

luke6040:

I'm interested in this too since I'm running windows moblie on my smartphone, It's been on the list as well.

britlude:

Are you talking about swapping a row or column with another? or cloning rows to speed data entry? Sounds like a useful feature.

Still working on it! We have been packed in with a ton of work-- not to mention tending to a new problem child, errr- I mean a cool new race-prepped datsun 240z we just purchased as our next R&D platform. :) I will post pictures of it soon- and hopefully updated firmware for you to test with.

Flag Current Cell Key ?

Post by Spockie-Tech »

A possible enhancement.. how about changing the color of the cells that were in effect when a "mark event" occurs during a log ?

So you can run a logging session, tap the mark at any pinging or blips, and then easily see where on the 2d or 3d maps what cell was in use at the marked moment for adjustments ?
